University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya (UM Surabaya) continues to strive to improve itself towards an international standard university and realize the Free Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program. One proof of UM Surabaya in realizing this program is the 2022 international credit transfer program collaboration with Management Science University Malaysia.
Head of the Office of International Affairs and Cooperation (KUIK) UM Surabaya Pramudana Ihsan explained that international credit transfers are part of the Freedom to Learn Campus Merdeka (MBKM) policy.
"This credit transfer program aims to facilitate students in efforts to strengthen and add competence through other study programs or other universities abroad, it is hoped that with the presence of this program students will be able to improve their hard skills and soft skills, expand and strengthen networks and understand the socio-cultural understanding of foreign nations. through overseas campus interactions,” said Pram.
Pram also explained that registration for the global mobility transfer credit program would close on January 6, 2022. He added that students who pass this program can take courses at MSU and their credit is equivalent to courses at UM Surabaya.
"We will continue to encourage students to participate in all MBKM programs, in addition to strengthening and increasing global competence, this program is also one of the efforts to anticipate intense global competition in various aspects," said Pram.
At the end of his statement, Pram explained, because it is still in a pandemic condition, the implementation of this international program will be carried out virtually. This activity will begin in February and be carried out for one semester.
