UM Surabaya received a visit from Muhammadiyah Berau University, East Kalimantan in order to optimize the capacity building of human resources, research, community service and share experiences related to achievements and implementation of academic activities. Wednesday (8/6/22)
The purpose of the visit was as an effort to improve institutional relations by synergizing authority and utilizing resources according to their capacity based on the principles of mutual assistance, mutual support related to education, research, community service and Al Islam Kemuhammadiyahan.
This visit is one of our efforts to strengthen cooperation with Muhammadiyah universities in the country. Seeing the student achievements of UM Surabaya, it feels an honor to be able to synergize and collaborate," said Syarifuuddin as Chancellor of UM Berau.
The visit as well as the signing of this collaboration received a positive response from Sukadiono, the Chancellor of UM Surabaya directly at the At-tauhid tower building.
"All Muhammadiyah universities in Indonesia must now develop a climate of collaboration. Collaboration will accelerate in improving the quality of tertiary institutions, especially Muhammadiyah tertiary institutions. Whether it's student cooperation, research, innovation, service, increasing human resources and other things. It is hoped that the collaboration with UM Berau will have a big impact on the Muhammadiyah organization," explained Suko.
According to Suko, there are several scopes of cooperation agreements including developing accreditation, strengthening higher education management, organizing student exchanges, increasing the competence of advanced study lecturers, organizing joint seminars, workshops, community service research, scientific publications and other scientific activities.
Suko also felt very happy about the visit made by UM Berau in the hope of strengthening the synergy between universities.

Suko also welcomes to adopt UM Surabaya's activities to be implemented at UM Berau if it suits the needs of UM Berau. During the visit, many things were discussed by the two institutions, starting from optimizing the performance of institutions and community service cooperation, journal writing which we hope can be collaborated to improve the performance and quality of each institution.
