This case was widely discussed on social media until it went viral. one of them was a tweet containing the travel flow of the PO fraud case of the two twin sisters with a total victim loss of Rp. 35 billion.

University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya (UM Surabaya) IT expert Taufiqur Rohman said, if someone is forced to buy at another outlet or olshop, then they need to know how to distinguish between genuine and fake iPhone sellers. Here's how to distinguish genuine and fake iPhone sellers:

First, research the iPhone purchased before buying, it is important for someone to do research first, it is important to know the characteristics of the authenticity of the iPhone, stock availability at other online stores, and prices on the market, this is done to avoid fraud. Moreover, if someone does not understand the specifications of the purchased iPhone.

Second, pay attention to iPhone product images. Based on the results of the research that has been done, one can also find out the authenticity of the iPhone product images offered at online stores.

"If there are differences from one image to another, then we may be suspicious of the authenticity of the goods offered. Moreover, the price offered is much cheaper than other stores," said Taufiq Monday (12/6/23)

“Usually, fake reviews use exaggerated, nonsensical language and pictures of iPhones from other stores. In addition, they often mention product names repeatedly. So, make sure we are observant and careful," added Taufiq again.

Fifth, check product prices. Not all cheap prices are the same as fake goods. However, don't let someone be easily tempted because of a lower price, someone can do a price comparison with other sellers.

"Especially when the price offered is below the market, then we can be more vigilant and suspect that the product is fake and has low quality," he said.

Sixth, choose the right payment method. When buying an iPhone through the olshop platform, avoid using payment methods that are not clear and are not available in the marketplace options.

"Make sure we don't pay directly to the seller, but through the marketplace company. If the goods we receive don't arrive and don't fit, we can still get a money back guarantee," concluded Taufiq.
