FEB UM Surabaya Students Win Champion in the Java-Bali Climbing Competition

Misbaqul Ulum, a management study program student at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya (FEB UM Surabaya) managed to make an achievement by winning 2nd place in the Java-Bali UNJ Climbing Competition (19/12/21)

"I am happy with this achievement, before competing at first I was doubtful because of the weather conditions, plus I saw hundreds of other athletes who have extraordinary abilities," said Misbaq

He also expressed his gratitude to his family, university and friends for their full support. According to him, this is just the beginning. In the future he wants to be able to compete in more prestigious matches.

"Even though the rock climbing championship that I participated in this time was quite challenging, both from different levels, the skills possessed and the variety of participants, I am not satisfied yet. In the future I want to participate in even more prestigious competitions," said Misbaq when contacted via cellular.

Responding to this achievement, Khoirul Anam, special staff of the UM Surabaya Student, Alumni and Innovation Administration Bureau (BAKAI) in the field of competition expressed his pride for the achievements achieved by Misbaq. According to him, Misbaq was a student receiving an athlete scholarship from the university and he was able to prove that he deserved the scholarship.

"I am proud of Misbaq who won second place in the Java-Bali championship, of course this is a very prestigious championship because it is attended by trained athletes from various regions. This is a form of Misbaq's commitment as a student athlete scholarship recipient to continue to compete and set new records," said Khoirul when met in his room.
