Studying, working and having a family, Febrian succeeded in proving that he achieved a Cumlaude GPA, and graduated quickly in 3.5 years

Working while studying is certainly not a barrier to not achieving the cum laude predicate. Many of the graduates have succeeded in holding cumlaude degrees because they study while working, one of them is Febrian Aditya, a student at the Faculty of Engineering, Marine Engineering Study Program who managed to achieve a GPA of only 3.81 at the 49th graduation of UM Surabaya.

It seems that apart from working and being able to achieve a cum laude GPA and graduate quickly, Rian apparently also has a family, he admits that he will marry in 2021. To journalists at UM Surabaya, Rian admits that he has been working since after graduating from Vocational High School. When Rian Vocational School majored in ship engine installation, his interest in the world of shipbuilding had always existed and that led to his work to this day.

Rian was accepted to work at PT PAL in the field of shipping diesel engine parts since 2012 until now.

"So at that time I had worked for several years, I had just continued my studies at UM Surabaya to increase my knowledge in the world of shipping as well as support my career," said Rian.

Rian took night classes at UM Surabaya. He admitted that when he first entered college he had difficulty managing his time because he had to divide his time and rest properly, he also had difficulty understanding the material taught in the first semester.

"So I work from 07.20-16.30 and at night I immediately continue my studies until 9 pm, even though I had difficulties at first, in semester 2 I started to be able to adjust and manage my time well," he said Friday (2/6/ 23)

In the middle of his work break, he uses it to study and sometimes do college assignments. Rian admitted that he had to put in more effort because he took 24 credits each semester.

After marrying Vivi Fatia Sari Agustin in 2021, he was blessed with 1 child. In the midst of busy work and family activities, Rian has managed to prove that success belongs to anyone who is serious about it.

Even though he works and studies he doesn't want to lose time with his family, he admits that on Saturdays and Sundays he always spends me time with his family. According to him, what he is experiencing today is a blessing from family support, which has always been the best support system.
