Encourage AIK as Spirit in PTMA, LPAIK UM Surabaya Launches New Learning Design

Institute for the Study of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (LPAIK) UM Surabaya, held a socialization and AIK learning design workshop at the At-Tauhid Tower Building UM Surabaya on (19/9/22)

The AIK learning design workshop is an activity that aims to provide knowledge about learning models or strategies, especially in the field of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) learning. With this socialization and workshop, it is hoped that AIK lecturers will be able to provide interesting and not boring learning.

Based on the latest curriculum, in class learning students are encouraged to think critically. Lecturers must be able to manage the learning process so that students are able to convey ideas in a way that is not boring. Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyaan (AIK) learning design workshop provides new knowledge to AIK lecturers. Regarding learning models, learning designs, learning strategies, and other things that include learning activities.

Not only that, in this workshop there was also a series of LKM surgery programs that had been carried out by each AIK lecturer. In this activity, all LKMs that have been made are discussed about how the learning system will be given to students regarding AIK learning in class.

UM Surabaya Chancellor Sukadiono explained the importance of AIK learning design so that AIK UM Surabaya lecturers know and understand how to provide learning that is interesting and not boring, so that lecturers are able to provide different learning. AIK materials will be conveyed clearly and can be accepted by students logically according to science.

Meanwhile, Arin Setyowati Head of LPAIK UM Surabaya emphasized that AIK education and learning at PTMA is the driving force, and the main mission of organizing PTM.

"AIK education is PTMA's strength because it can become the basis for spiritual, moral and intellectual strength as well as the driving force for the entire academic community," explained Arin.

According to Arin, the success of AIK education is one of the indicators of achieving the mission of organizing and managing PTMA. Improving the quality of the process and outcomes (outcomes) of AIK education must be carried out continuously and systematically.

"In an effort to optimize the process of internalizing AIK's values through education and learning. This Student Worksheet (LKM) is an effort to improve and develop the AIK learning process at UM Surabaya to be more interesting, creative and meaningful for students," concluded Arin.
