Tapak Suci athletes from UM Surabaya won in various categories at the fourth inter-university virtual version of the Tapak Suci National Championship held at Sebelas Maret State University in December 2021
Five delegates sent won first place, including Fiqanda Taufiq Hidayat (HKI) won 2nd place in the men's empty-handed singles category, Fitri Nuraida Rizayasari (English Language Education) won 1st place in the women's armed singles category, Fathur Rozi Farori (Management) won 2nd runner-up men's singles category. Intan Damayanti Sutanto and Eni Widiyawati won 1st place in the empty-handed doubles category.
Eni Widiyawati, a gold medalist, said that her team had prepared preparations for the competition this time. Starting from physical exercise, justification of the movement to the addition of a training schedule every day.
"Thankfully, the hard work we put in has produced maximum results. Please pray that in two more days, the UM Surabaya Tapak Suci team and I will compete in the Bandung Lautan Api International Championship 3. Hopefully all the teams will come home with champions and make the university proud," said Eni in a statement written.
M Ridlwan vice chancellor for academics appreciates the achievements that have been achieved by the athletes of Tapak Suci UM Surabaya.
“The Tapak Suci championship held by Sebelas Maret State University is a prestigious championship. The Tapak Suci athlete managed to bring home a gold medal for the university. The university will always support the championships that will be participated in by the great athletes of UM Surabaya. The hope is that the Bandung Lautan Api International Championship 3 which will be participated in will produce maximum results and all athletes will return home with champions," said Ridlwan when met in his room.
