University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya Medical Faculty students launched the Aikkochildcare application as an effort to deal with stunting in the City of Heroes. Head of the Department of Pediatrics, University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya, dr. Gina Noor Djalilah, Sp.A,MM said health science must continue to develop and keep up with the times. Therefore, his party created a digital application to deal with stunting.

"The Aikkochildcare.com application was created by the Faculty of Medicine, UM Surabaya. It is hoped that this application will make it easier for parents to deal with stunting," said Gina in the Anthropometric Healthy Corner activity in Surabaya, Sunday (17/10)

According to him, this application helps parents during a pandemic like today. So, said Gina, for some parents who are afraid to come to the hospital or have health checks, they can take advantage of the application.

The woman who is also the Chairperson of the Stunting Acceleration Program Coordinator further explained that the Aikkochildcare.com application is targeted at pregnant women and parents to monitor their child's development.

"In the application there is a lot of information available to make it easier for users to anticipate if there are inappropriate child development conditions, especially related to nutrition," he explained. In addition to the Healthy Corner activities, at the same time UM Surabaya also held Limited Medicine for Sick Children (Poseant Series 1) in the Kenjeran Health Center area which is located in the Bulak Multipurpose Building. "Activities like this will help parents to monitor how their children are developing from 0 to 5 years old, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic which has been going on for almost 2 years," explained Gina.
