Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia, offering an affordable experience for international students. Heroes Monument of Surabaya City

This monument is a very popular icon of Surabaya. The Heroes Monument is surrounded by shady greenery, perfect for a relaxing spot after touring the city of Surabaya.

November 10th Museum

Museum 10 November is a place that holds various stories and historical evidence of the struggle of the heroes. In this museum, you can see photos and paintings that depict the situation during the war.

Suro and Boyo Statue

Besides the Heroes Monument, Surabaya also has another icon, the Suro and Boyo Statue. This statue offers various interesting photo locations to capture the moment with Suro and Boyo in the background.

Surabaya Old Town

The main attraction of the Old City lies in the series of historical buildings that still maintain a classic architectural style. These buildings are considered as silent witnesses to the struggle of Suroboyo's arek-arek in defending Indonesia's independence.

Tunjungan Street

Residents of Surabaya and surrounding areas must be familiar with this area. Tunjungan Street is surrounded by historical buildings that are very interesting to see. In addition, this area is also filled with various cafes and instagramable photo spots. Art performances are often held on Tunjungan Street.

Scholarship

Scholarship from Indonesian Government (Darmasiswa Scholarship)

DARMASISWA is a scholarship program offered to all foreign students from countries that have diplomatic relations with Indonesia to study Indonesian (Indonesian), arts and culture at 54 universities in 2015. The program was established in 1974 as part of the ASEAN initiative, by only transferring students from ASEAN. However, in 1976 the program was expanded further to other countries. Until now, the number of participating countries in this program is more than 111 countries and organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) of the Republic of Indonesia.
