The increasing public demand for the existence of a PGSD study program in order to produce outstanding educators, researchers, practitioners, and/or edupreneurs in the field of basic education, this study program was established. In line with the university's noble values, the PGSD study program also emphasizes morality, intellect, and an entrepreneurial spirit as deep-rooted values. These three main values are accompanied by the basis of information technology in the implementation of education, to forge human resources as individuals with the character of adaptive thinking towards any changes in society, both on a national and global scale. With these efforts, we hope that the wider public's trust in the UMSurabaya PGSD Undergraduate Study Program will increase from time to time.
Career Prospects
UMSurabaya PGSD graduates can be appointed as civil servants as teaching staff in government-run public schools. In addition, PGSD graduates can also be appointed to fill formal positions in the education sector, such as the education and culture office, the ministry of religion, and many more.
