Choosing the right college major is always the dream of every student. Choosing a college major must be thought through carefully so you don't regret it later. This is because education during college is the main provision for achieving success in the future, even as a way to pursue a career.

The minimum number of jobs that do not match the number of applicants means that graduates must have skills that other applicants do not have so that they can compete.

Junaidi Fery Efendi Head of the UM Surabaya Alumni and Innovation Student Administration Bureau (BAKAI) said that most people don't work or have careers according to the college major they are taking.

In a written statement, Junaidi shared a number of tips on how to choose the right college major so that someone can enjoy the learning process and get maximum results.

The first, according to him, is to recognize interest within yourself. Understanding your inner interests will make it easier for someone to find a major. Start by digging into habits that are often done so far.

"If interest in oneself has been found, someone will enjoy the learning process in a fun way. Someone with the right college major will be better prepared to face various challenges," said Junaidi.

Second, do a personality test before choosing a major. In their teens, teenagers still haven't found their true identity, so this personality test will measure and provide a general picture of themselves in various ways.

"Currently there are many personality tests that can be found, so someone doesn't have to be difficult to do this test," he added again.

Third, ask for input from parents or others. Discuss with people who have experience about the anxiety experienced. Clearly convey the confusion you are experiencing, then ask for advice so that you find various considerations in determining your choice of major.

Fourth, choose the right and suitable major. Choosing the right college major is important as a mature and precise consideration.

"Make sure to choose a college major according to your interests, so that later you can enjoy the lecture process and get maximum results," concluded the Mathematics Lecturer.
