Flatulence and then farting is a natural and normal occurrence experienced by a person, sometimes even followed by excessive farting intensity. Too often releasing gas means the activity in the digestive system is experiencing problems.
Although in this case there is no medical emergency or more concern, there are many people who are bothered by flatulence, such as falling asleep at night and in the morning due to excessive gas or farting.
Nurse UM Surabaya Islam Syarifurrahman said someone who often experiences flatulence and then farts is caused by a food digestion process that is not smooth.
"The cause is a change in diet, there are digestive disorders, and constipation," said Islam Tuesday (6/12/22)
According to him, in this case it is necessary to know that a person has an organ, namely the pancreas which has an important role in the digestive system and produces various enzymes.
"If the pancreas fails to produce enzymes properly, a person's body can experience a disorder called food malabsorption, this incident causes the stomach to become bloated and is characterized by releasing gas or farting," he added again.
In a written statement, Islam shared tips on what to do to prevent flatulence and frequent gas or farting.
First, consume fruit such as mango, avocado, papaya, pineapple etc. These fruits contain natural digestive enzymes and these fruits contain bromelain which can break down proteins into amino acids which maintain digestive health.
Second, if you have a flatulence, increase your consumption of water so as not to cause excessive farting, so that the digestive system works properly and will be absorbed more quickly by the intestines.
Finally, do regular exercise with yoga, cardio and abdominal exercise movements.
"Exercise can facilitate the digestive process which can help encourage bowel movements so that excess gas deposits in the stomach can be reduced," concluded Islam
