Limitations do not always make a person silent and do nothing, many things can be achieved, one of which is by becoming an outstanding athlete like Fredo Dimas Saputro, Indonesia's proud athlete and student of Law at the University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya (UM Surabaya).
The athlete who was born on October 17, 2000 really liked sports when he was in elementary school (SD). Fredo admits that since he was a child he has loved sports such as running and football. According to him, even though he has limitations, he wants to excel like a normal athlete.
"When my parents found out about my potential in sports, I was enrolled in SSB since I was in elementary school," said Fredo, Sunday (20/8/23)
Fredo admitted that his love for sports also started from his father who really liked football, even though his father was not an athlete, he admitted that his father played a very extraordinary role in shaping him as he is today.
"The hardest thing was when I was in 4th grade, my father passed away and I had to lose one of my best motivators. After that, I had more discussions with my brother, because my mother had to work out of town to provide for her two children,” recalled Fredo.
Even so, he was not discouraged, from elementary to junior high school Fredo had already proven his achievements. He often wins at the district to provincial school levels.
Behind his success today as an athlete, it seems that Fredo is also traumatized, he even quit football because he had suffered an injury when he was in grade 2 at Vocational High School.
“It was an inter-provincial championship. I was down, hopeless and even stopped for 3 months. However, thanks to the encouragement of my parents and the people around me, I finally got up again," he said.

Three Keys to Success According to Fredo
When asked about the key to success for himself, Fredo admitted that there were three things, namely hard work, prayer and encouragement from his parents and those around him. He also advised that someone who has limitations does not doubt himself, that every human being created has his own talent. Every time he will compete he always remembers his mother's message, he said; don't doubt yourself.
"I always remember that message, especially seeing my mother's struggle after my father died, I always want to make her proud," he hoped.
Finally, in the midst of his busy life as an athlete and student, it seems that Fredo also has other aspirations, besides wanting to become a businessman he also wants to become a notary.
