UM Surabaya Student Affairs Share Tips for Passing the KIP-K Scholarship

The Indonesia Smart College Card (KIP-K) is an Indonesian government program that is given to students who have economic limitations but have academic achievements as well as high enthusiasm to continue their studies at the tertiary level.

The rights that are obtained in the college KIP program include participants being freed from all tuition fees starting from the registration fee until graduating from college and getting living expenses while studying.

Khoirul Anam UM Surabaya Student Affairs shared a number of tips that students can do to get KIP-K scholarships.

According to Irul, the first thing to do is diligently seek information. Finding information about campuses that receive KIP college scholarships is very important, this also needs to be done in advance.

"Don't miss scholarship information from the destination campus. Prospective students can find out various information via the internet, scholarship recipient alumni. This will greatly assist prospective students in studying the procedures and conditions given," said Irul Tuesday (7/2/23)

Second, prepare the file carefully. After searching for information regarding the terms and conditions, prepare documents such as diplomas, KIP-K card ownership, ensure that the National Identity Number (NIK), National Student Identification Number (NISN), and National School Identification Number (NPSN) have been registered.

"Other files such as curriculum vitae, photos of the original house and achievements that have been obtained at school also need to be prepared because they have added value," he added.

Third, fill in the biodata correctly. In filling out the biodata, it must be filled in correctly and as is in accordance with the current conditions, because filling in the biodata is very closely related to the interview test after being declared to have passed the administrative selection.

Fourth, prepare for the interview test. Not all campuses apply an interview test for KIP-K scholarship recipients. However, prospective students still need to prepare. Do a practice interview with a friend or relative or anyone as if you were being interviewed by the interview selection team.

"Apart from practicing self-confidence, interview practice will also make it easier for someone to master the data they have," concluded Irul.
